Love is in the air in the official trailer and first look images for Happy’s Place Season 2!
Happy’s Place Season 1 ended with the show giving us a peek at their hand when it comes to the romance between Reba McEntire’s Bobbie and Rex Linn’s Emmett. And even though Happy’s Place Season 1 Episode 18 felt a little too filler for a season finale, we were happy to see this spark of a romance and how the crew of this bar has grown as a family.
For it’s sophomore season they’re not shying away from a Bobbie and Emmett romance. They’re leaning into it in the trailer; showing Bobbie’s insecurities about who should ask who out and how long it’s been since she’s been on a date. And they’re also leaning into it in the photos; Bobbie and Emmett looking like they’re having a quiet night in.

But the most surprising part of the official trailer and photos for Happy’s Place Season 2 is Belissa Escobedo’s Isabella. In Season 1, it was important to establish her bond with Bobbie. But I felt like we knew nothing else about her. In Season 2 it seems like she’s using that education for something or going back to school. Either way, it’s a little character development that will enrich the story overall.
Here’s hoping Happy’s Place Season 2 revisits Melissa Perman’s Gabby pregnancy storyline. But also we’re really hoping for Pablo Castelblanco’s Steve to get more storylines outside of the bar. Oh and we need to know more about Takoda and this mysterious family he keeps talks about. They sound great and I’d like to see them.
