Maintenance Required is streaming on Prime Video and we’re pretty sure that a lot of you have sat down to watch it. It’s a rom-com, but at it’s heart it is also a movie that is about friendships, traditions, and how the truth always rises to the top. It’s a good movie.
Sitting down to interview Matteo Lane & Jacob Scipio, I was intimidated. I admit it. I find Matteo Lane to be one of the funniest people on the planet. Doesn’t matter what he’s in – he will make you laugh and have a good time. It wasn’t long before he had me laughing.
Laughing really hard.
Also at some points had me speechless.
Now, in Maintenance Required, Jacob Scipio stars as Beau. He’s charming, sexy, and with all his action roles – I definitely knew who he was. I think I insulted him, when I said I liked his character until one point, because he told me to tell him how I really feel. I was thrown off and couldn’t finish my question.
But that’s okay. He answered something.
I do think that these two together is a good time. Beau is the love interest – a corporate guy who Charlie talks to, until she knows who he is. It’s his corporate job that makes Charlie want nothing to do with him.
Beau was in the wrong – after all he knew who Charlie was first and that she was that the girl that he had been speaking to on the forum. It’s that lie of omission that she can’t take. He’s forcing her garage out of business and she can’t handle the lie of omission. Beau doesn’t seem to understand.
You know who does understand things? Well that would be his best friend – Jordan. Jordan isn’t afraid to knock Beau down a bit and tell him what he doesn’t want to hear. He’s also the man who will give a succulent when needed. After all, plants need to be spoken to and so that succulent is a friend, right?
Lane teased that his former grindr profile picture was a succulent and says that his character, Jordan is like the “The Gay Jiminy Cricket – You Know I Don’t Know If He Was Gay – But The Hat And That’s His Job.”
Speechless. I was speechless. He continued, “It’s like I always let your conscience be your guide and you always need that one person in your life kinda just throws it at you and tells you like it is.”
I about fell out of my chair. I swear I will never ask about a succulent again.
Ever.
