The three part emergency on 9-1-1: Nashville continues in Season 1 Episode 2 “Hell and High Water.”
Last we left off in the pilot, the crew of Station 113 let nepo-baby Blue join them during a rescue mission with a tornado looming. This all comes after Captain Hart revealed to his son Ryan that A) he had a secret child and B) he’s Ryan’s brother. And with people still trapped at the outdoor concert venue and a tornado barreling towards them, things aren’t looking great.
In “Hell and High Water” it seems like the crew has survived the concert calamity. But trouble isn’t going to just stop there. The tornado’s path leads Station 113 to somehow pull off a rescue at a water tower that is definitely going to come down one way or the other. And Cammie at dispatch is going to continue with the tornado rescues by guiding a teenager through her mother giving birth.
But the most interesting part of 9-1-1: Nashville 1×02 are the relationships.
For one thing, you have Blue and Ryan constantly working together over, and over again, and over again together. That’s probably not going to help endear Blue to Ryan. Roxy and Taylor seem to also be consistently attached at the hip. We just wish we had a clue about their relationship. And then there’s Dixie and Blythe. The tension between them in the photos alone makes you want to be a fly on that wall.
Also… RYAN HAS A WIFE?! Oh that’s not going to last long if the first thing we know about them is that they’re reaching a “turning point.” And for some reason, we can’t stop clocking the heigh differences between Blue and Ryan and also Roxy and Taylor. We don’t know what the show is trying to tell us but… I need to know more about Roxy and Taylor. NEED.
