NCIS: Origins Season 2, Episode 3 ‘The Edge’ gives us our first official NCIS and NCIS: Origins crossover! Sort of. Because yes, that is indeed Adam Campbell you see, and he is back as young Donald “Ducky” Mallard! We’d seen young Ducky before on NCIS, but this is the first time we’ll see Campbell and Austin Stowell’s younger version of Gibbs sharing a scene.
We miss Ducky. We miss the late David McCallum. And this feels like such an honest, nice way to honor him. So, come prepared for Kleenex because no matter how this case goes, this promises to be an emotional hour.
