One Piece Season 2 hasn’t even premiered yet and the show has already started working on Season 3. Ambitious? Yes. But it makes sense after the time and love that Netflix has put into Season 1 and the Straw Hat Pirates journey. It also makes sense after the continuous amount of previews and cast announcements we’ve had for Season 2, which is set to premiere March 10, 2026.
Netflix announced on November 24th that production had begun on Season 3 of the global sensation. The original Straw Hat crew, Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp) and Taz Skylar (Sanji), are set return to Cape Town for filming of the show. But it’s the three recurring cast members from Season 2 that got the best news: they’re going to be series regulars.
Charithra Chandran (Miss Wednesday), Mikaela Hoover (Chopper), Joe Manganiello (Mr. 0), Lera Abova (Miss All Sunday) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Nefartari Cobra) will be series regulars for Season 3. More cast members will be announced at a later date. But it’s exciting news that the core 5 will be joined by these new cast members that we haven’t met yet.
For Season 2 “Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.” Most importantly, Season 2 will introduce viewers to some other fan favorites next season, including the beloved reindeer-boy hybrid Tony Tony Chopper.
One Piece Season 2 premieres March 10, 2026.
