It’s December. Cold is setting in. Christmas lights everywhere. Little Drummer Boy playing in every bodega that we’ve walked into. Most people are writing Christmas lists and then Netflix comes in with an early gift for us all.
Regé-Jean Page is returning to Netflix in an erotic thriller. Who would have known that dreams are coming true this Christmas. Dreams that we didn’t even know we had. So should we give them credit for just knowing that this would be something we all want? All signs point to yes.
In Hancock Park, which is currently in development, the Emmy nominee will star as a different kind of royalty: a member of Los Angeles high society whose family is struggling to hold onto their status.
Hancock Park is an erotic thriller that follows a dangerously charismatic outsider, who invades the lives of a seemingly picture-perfect Los Angeles family — when he rents their backyard guest house. But as he dives further into their world, the façade of this elite community begins to crumble, and he exposes the desire, deceit, and obsession that lurks around every corner of one of LA’s most-coveted neighborhoods.
Written by Matthew Barry (The Guest, Industry, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and executive produced by Page through his production company A Mighty Stranger, alongside A Mighty Stranger’s Emily Brown (The Count of Monte Cristo, Funny You Should Ask) , and Drew Comins (Yellowjackets, All the Old Knives), Hancock Park is an erotic thriller with bite.
There’s no word yet on when the show will premiere, but we’re keeping our eyes out for more information.
