Heidi Engerman has joined the cast of Ransom Canyon as Yancy’s wife. Deadline was the first to report the casting. You may remember seeing Engerman at that cliffhanger of a final episode, but now she will be hanging around for season two.
We’re only getting eight episodes of Ransom Canyon for season two which may mean that they have tightened up storylines, but still – eight episodes is enough for her to cause enough issues. We’re not here for that.
Ransom Canyon is a, “romance-fueled family drama and contemporary Western saga that charts the intersecting lives and loves of three ranching families set against the sweeping tundras and rolling rivers of Texas Hill Country.”
We’re in it for the love stories. Yancy has been with Ellie Estevez (Marianly Tejada) in the first season. The two struck up a romance with the rodeo rider when he arrived in the small Texas town. Yancy’s wife arriving is a large part of his past that he omitted and never told Ellie about. He’s on her crap list now and he’s definitely on ours.
We don’t like the wife now either.
