We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
Best Scene of the Week

Shana: It’s technically a combination of a couple scenes, but The Pitt’s Tree of Life survivor Yana really affected me on a personal level. Brilliantly acted from all involved, well-placed as a reminder that 4th of July fireworks aren’t celebratory for everyone, and an effort at actually drawing attention to the support that came after the fact.
Gissane: Soto standing up to both Wagner and Solomon in High Potential. It feels like a long time coming, and it’s just so comforting to see how much she cares about the team, and Morgan especially. It’s badass to see a woman know her value and tell of the man who unfairly took the position that she deserves. I love her more and more with every passing episode.
Aracelis: I will happily go with Diana putting Stephen in his place. I knew immediately that Diana wasn’t keeping that baby, but when she said she couldn’t wait to abort his baby? I was clapping. Someone needed to clock him. Stephen didn’t even want a kid, he just wanted another way in with Diana’s dad and something else he could control. I’ve been loving Diana all through Season 3 of Tell Me Lies, but Episode 4 really secured it for me. She’s no longer being manipulated or controlled by Stephen, and while there have been a few moments this season that made me happy to see Stephen upset or at a loss for words, this one takes the cake. Thank you, Diana.
Ship of the Week

Gissane: Morgan and Karadec from High Potential continue to be everything to me. The content we get in “Grounded” is so delicious when it comes to delivering worthy parallels from “Under the Rug” that I remain utterly floored by them. Also, Chenford delivered in this week’s episode of The Rookie, so an extra shout out to them.
Aracelis: I have to say Bree and Wrigley. They’ve genuinely made me hope that more than one couple, aside from Diana and Pippa , can make it out of that toxic friend group, which feels like a miracle in itself. I loved the ending scene of Bree and Wrigley just looking at each other, and I also really enjoyed their conversation in her dorm room. They just get each other. I’ve loved seeing their relationship start as a friendship first and slowly realizing that maybe they understand one another in a way no one else does. Wrigley, you are a yearner , because after that many years, I would’ve given up. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next few episodes, especially knowing they’ve clearly been talking for years and that Bree is married to Evan, which we still haven’t seen how that even happens.
Raquel: I completely agree with Gissane about Morgadec and Chenford. And if I had to choose one, this week I’d go with Chenford. Living together day-to-day isn’t easy, especially for a couple who’ve just moved in together. And it’s not all sunshine and roses. Sometimes you raise your voice more than you intended or say something out of line, like Tim did in this week’s episode. As I mentioned in my review, you can clearly see how much he’s grown when he backs down. But what I liked most was seeing how they communicate and aren’t afraid to be vulnerable with each other and say what bothers them. They work together as partners, both at work and outside of it.
Lizzie: Sorry, it’s Stellaride. Actually, not sorry. It’s Stellaride 100%. The two have been dancing around having a real conversation about Stella’s miscarriage for this entire season, and it finally comes to a head during ‘Carry A Torch‘, and it’s not just one of them reaching for the other; it’s the two of them meeting in the middle and choosing to be honest. Because they’re both in pain, yes, but the pain is easier to handle if they carry it together.
Best Performance of the Week

Raquel: Melissa O’Neil. The scene where Lucy opens up to Julie is awesome. The episode may have failed to fully convey the weight of what Lucy is admitting, but O’Neil’s performance is brilliant. And yes, I did shed a few tears.
Shana: Amielynn Abellera in The Pitt. There was just…so much going on between Yana and Perlah, some of which I’m probably not even capable of catching or expressing. The majority of what Abellera was doing with her performance was in the subtle, tiny details, yet she blew me away. So many different emotions, so much weight to carry, so much empathy for the other person and (probably) discomfort, and…just great work. And right after all the heavy stuff, she was just as good as Perlah had fun at Robby’s expense while Yana scolded him over being “50-ish” and going on his little motorcycle trip. (Honorable mention goes to Irina Dubova and Noah Wyle, in whichever order my coin toss decides.)
Gissane: Judy Reyes in High Potential. Going off of the moment of the week, she’s just so good in this week’s episode that every beat is made better because of how Reyes touches on Soto’s emotions. The fierceness in her tone with the men versus how she talks to her team. Every subtle moment that we get is so telling, and Reyes’ performance made the episode.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week

Shana: I said I understood where it was coming from/that someone spiraling like that would not be herself in my review, and I stand by that. But I also said, more than once, that the way Rollins treated Ruby in the latest SVU episode was awful and made me deeply uncomfortable. So, I’m going with that scene. Especially the part where Amanda gets up in her face and is all, “so do I!!” after Ruby says she wishes Rollins hadn’t saved her life. Girl…
Gissane: I hate saying this, but Emmett on Happy’s Place right now. If this man doesn’t tell Bobbie the secret soon, I’m going to lose it. Every moment with them just feels a bit marred since it’s still looming over their heads.
Aracelis: I have to say Rob voting for Lisa really annoyed me. I understand where he was coming from, voting for Colton while defending Lisa would’ve made no sense and could’ve alerted the Faithfuls, especially since they aren’t close outside of being traitors. But his alliance with Colton is actively hurting his game. Getting Colton out at that roundtable could’ve saved the Traitors from potentially murdering him at night, which would’ve looked incredibly suspicious. I like Rob, I really do, but voting for Lisa could’ve gone very wrong and easily sent her home. I’m hoping it’s only up from here, because he is smart, but that alliance with Colton is doing him no favors.
Quote of the Week

Raquel: “Okay, yes, I forgot. But I came and prepared all this super fast so we could celebrate our anniversary, and I remembered before you did.” — Angela on ABC’s The Rookie.
Shana: “Don’t expect me to be a housewife because I am Lisa f****** Rinna…I was Lisa f****** Rinna before Housewives. And I am Lisa f****** Rinna after.” – Lisa F. Rinna on The Traitors.
(…and I need a Melrose Place rewatch after that. Nothing but respect for Taylor McBride in this moment.)
Gissane: I might be frustrated with Emmett, but Happy’s Place TOOK ME OUT with “What’s gotten into you?” “Emmett.” The whole exchange was so expertly timed and the performances were top-tier at that moment.
