Gird your loins! The trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2 is here, and it’s fantastic and nostalgic as it reunites the Runway team from 2006.. This new look at The Devil Wears Prada sequel comes 20 years after that original movie and months after the first teaser. That sneak peek sees Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs reuniting with Runway editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) in an elevator. 20th Century Studios hasn’t revealed much about the movie’s plot. It’s fitting that the closest look at The Devil Wears Prada 2 comes from Vogue.
The trailer itself doesn’t reveal much, either, which is refreshing in the age of trailers revealing far too much. It starts with Stanley Tucci’s Nigel saying, “Runway is not just a magazine. It’s a global icon. A winding road that brings us back together again.” It’s difficult not to feel nostalgic about seeing these characters again. Two decades may have passed, but the phenomenon that is The Devil Wears Prada has only grown. The Devil Wears Prada 2 reunites Streep, Hathaway, Tucci, as well as Emily Blunt as Emily. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman will reprise their roles as Lily and Irv. Plus, director David Frankel and writer Alice Brosh McKenna are back for the sequel.

The new trailer, set to Madonna’s “Vogue,” includes a glimpse of Miranda Priestly and Nigel at the Met Gala. Tucci is also as quick as ever with the quips, like, “Well, look what T.J Maxx dragged in,” when Andy comes into Miranda’s office. Miranda has no memory of Andy’s time at Runway, but Emily remembers Andy so well that seeing her again stops Emily in her tracks. Blunt perfectly delivers, “Am I having a hallucination?” Despite noticing a confidence boost in Andy, Emily’s disbelief continues when Andy tells Emily that she’s back as the magazine’s new Features Editor.
Those little details hint at the dynamics that will be at play in The Devil Wears Prada 2, but the plot is still majorly under wraps. That said, the sequel doesn’t debut exclusively in theaters until May 1, 2026, so there’s plenty of time for more trailers that peel back the cover of Runway’s latest era. One thing is certain, as the tagline sells: “Icons reign forever.”
The Devil Wears Prada 2 also stars Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. Wendy Finerman produces, while Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt, and McKenna executive produce.
