9-1-1: Nashville is back in Season 1 Episode 11 “Don Begins” and we’re getting flashbacks!
Last we left off in Season 1 Episode 10 “Let It R.I.P.” Don was receiving letters from the man who apparently killed his parents. He was having panic attacks and took it out on Roxie. It was unfair but then again… something like this messes you up no matter how many years have passed. And with his parole hearing hear, Don is having to relive the pain of losing his parents all over again.
The trailer for “Don Begins” gives us a look at who Don used to be. We see a young version of him experiencing the fire that killed his family and the immediate aftermath. He’s played by Joshua Allen Williamson. And the photos for this episode also give us a glimpse into him in his 20’s, played by Ben Winchell.

But what’s even more interesting is that we get to see young Dixie and Blythe. Both are clearly important parts of Don’s past and present. And it’s going to be interesting to see who Dixie was when she had a world of possibility in front of her. She’ll be played by Noa Bess Solomon. And it’ll be interesting to see how Blythe plays into this because Don and Dixie’s photos make it clear that they’ve super close for ages. Young Blythe is played by Hunter King.
The only things that we aren’t sure about when it comes to “Don Begins” are Blue and Taylor.
Last episode they clearly showed interest in each other to the delight of fans who have shipped them from day one. But a misunderstanding kept anything from happening. By the end things had been cleared up. And these photos don’t give a clue as to if everything is working out with these two or if it was just a moment. Taylor is by herself and so is Blue besides some photos with Ryan. Here’s hoping 9-1-1: Nashville follows through.
