I have to admit I adore Ryan Vincent’s verticals. I am always curious about his tattoos because they are interesting, but I am told that I am curious about them due to his abs being a solid rock of muscle. but no, that’s not the whole reason. Ryan Vincent is entertaining. Whatever role he plays – he is entertaining. After Tempting The Mafia Twins, I am even more entertained.
So, yes I am going through all of his verticals and watching or rewatching them.
As much as I think highly of a lot of roles, there is something about Vincent when he plays mafia characters that I love and also am like ya, I wouldn’t mess with him.
In the Tempting The Mafia Twins series, “Genesis discovers her mob boss husband Kiefer’s affair and loses one of her twin babies due to his mistress’ schemes. Genesis reports him to the authorities and flees while pregnant. Seven years later, Genesis runs into Kiefer on the street.”
There is a lot going on in this vertical, but in the best way. One of the great things about verticals is that they continue to improve in directing, cinematography, and writing. The locations don’t look as old and cheap as they used to. The improvements make verticals even more enjoyable – no matter how realistic or unrealistic.
A good mafia story is always something I love to watch. Maybe it’s because it is such a departure from everyday life. I like an escape.
In Tempting The Mafia Twins, Genesis has been on the run since she turned her husband in to the FBI. She caught him cheating – with his sister (who was adopted) and she’d had enough. She didn’t realize that her husband was drugged and he had pushed her off. It just didn’t matter because over time he’d protected his sister and not paid attention to what his sister had been doing to Genesis.
Kiefer’s sister had straight up been torturing Genesis. So, can’t blame her for running away from that family and refusing to go back. I would have gained a strong cardio game – like Olympic level. And hey, if you catch your man with someone else, can’t blame Genesis for taking matters into her own hands.
Especially after you’d lost a baby because of the sister.
Him catching her and making her come home with him, I hated that. I hated that he acted like a caveman and threw her over his should and treated her like property. Then, when he gets her home, acts like he deserves to sleep with her because they are married.
But here’s my thing – he’s been searching for her for seven years – okay. He’s blamed her for all these things and all of that could have been settled for him years ago, if he had just looked at camera footage and spoke to his staff. Yes, instead of doing that, he just held Genesis responsible. He didn’t pay attention and wasn’t the best husband. He didn’t question why she left enough.
Instead he acted like she was in the wrong for leaving. Then he seemed okay with what she did because they both grew.
It’s very interesting to watch verticals because you know that you can count on a few things. You can count on jealousy, on the internal dialogue of will they/won’t they, and girls tripping over their own feet. In this series, Kiefer is always there for Genesis (now that he found her), but his twin brother Declan is also. Declan has been in love with Genesis and has long wanted to take Genesis from his brother.
Kiley Pearson as Genesis – though I was hesitant about her, she actually impressed me in this role. She’s a fighter and she’s calculating and she’s definitely not going to give up. Genesis is also a good Mom.
That’s right – she’s a Mom. She had been pregnant with twins but Kiefer didn’t know that. She tries to hide Egan, but that doesn’t last very long. When she escapes Kiefers grasp and gets to Egan, she of course gets captured again. The thing is it’s not just her, it’s also their son that she kept hidden.
What I don’t get is why kids are hidden from parents. I think all of these kids being hidden from their parents – the kids are the ones that suffer. I am also fully aware that this is fiction. But I still said what I said. Kiefer doesn’t get it, but he also loves Genesis enough that he’s overlooking somethings that are questionable.
But since he didn’t notice what was happening to Genesis seven years prior – it is expected that he would overlook a lot. Kiefer ain’t catching what is going on. He is fighting for his wife, regardless of what anyone thinks. He’s happy to be a father, happy to have his wife back, and happy to be the head of the family.
Egan loves being around his father and doesn’t want to leave. Genesis knows that Kiefer loves her, but is love enough. Can she really leave when her son wants to stay?
While we get around to the happy ending and relationships recovering, the lesson here is that you need to open your eyes to what is happening around you. In relationships, if you’re not paying attention you will grow apart.
Tempting The Mafia Twins is a great escape for a little over an hour. It’s fun and that’s what matters.
