One day, AI is going to turn on us. Entertainment has explored this concept before, but these days it’s starting to feel more and more immediate. Which is why movies with a premise involving AI can feel like pure horror. DRAGN straddles that line. The movie follows an AI company retreat which descends into chaos as a rogue drone begins targeting employees. Scary? Yes. Feels like it could happen sometime soon? Also yes!
That’s why it’s scary.
DRAGN stars James Paxton (Twisters), Lilly Krug (Plane), Carlos Bardem (Assassin’s Creed), Alice Pagani (Don’t Kill Me), Jadran Malkovich (The Ark), Franz Drameh (Legends of Tomorrow) and Alex Lane (A Very Secret Service). The film is directed by Peter Webber (Hannibal Rising), and written by Barry Hutchison (Supermansion) and Alexander Gordon Smith (The Box).
