It Makes No D*** Sense
There is a reason to love CandyJar. They put a lot into their verticals and make the production value something that others can learn from. Their verticals are enjoyable and different. They don’t fall on the same sword that others do. Their verticals are not as predictable as others, and they know how to make a vertical feel like a movie or a television show. They are just really damn good.
Seeing Scarlett is no exception to that.
Starring Jared Staub and Tori Kay, Seeing Scarlett is fun. It’s incredible pacing makes it so that you don’t even realize how much time is passing. You just keep watching from scene to scene and waiting to see what Scarlett and Nick do next.
The show is about, “Scarlett, a rogue vampire hiding from her powerful maker Rowland, forms a dangerous alliance with Nick, a hunter sworn to kill her. As they plot revenge, their enemies to lovers connection ignites into a pull neither can resist. But when buried secrets come to light, trust shatters and loyalties are tested. In a world of blood and power, falling for your enemy may be the deadliest mistake of all.”
Nick hunts down Scarlett at a feeding club. Yes, there are clubs where humans offer themselves up for vampires to feed off of. Apparently being bit by a vampire is an aphrodisiac and addictive. Who knew.
The two agree to work together to tae down Rowland – the all powerful big vampire. He’s kinda scary, but mostly cause he’s obsessed with Scarlett. We are not hating on that – like get yours. Regardless, he’s a vampire hunter and totally willing to overlook that.
Sworn profession be damned.
Nick is on the search for his brother. His brother has been missing for weeks and being as his families mission was to destroy the infamous Rowland – Nick believes that they start there. And that’s where Scarlett comes in.
Scarlett used to be Rowlands favorite, but she left and was in hiding. She was tired of the violence. I have to admit though, I started laughing when we found out that Scarletts roommate was a ghost and the house as cloaked. Gotta love a twist to a show.
As the two go up against Rowland, we quickly learn that Nick isn’t a thinker. He doesn’t think of the repercussions of his hot headness and instead just does his thing. We find out that his brother is dead – he became addicted to vampire bites and it turns out that Rowland was the one that drained him. But also Scarlett turned him over to Rowland.
That was the night she left Rowlands grasp.
The two are able to move past everything, take down Rowland and Nick decides that he wants to be a vampire to spend eternity with her. They’ve known each other for like a week at the most, which made me wonder if he was certifiable.
Cause I am thinking that he is.

Do I get that its a show? Yes. But I can still laugh at bad choices.
Jared Staub and Tori Kay are fun to watch, and the pacing of this vertical isn’t bad. Before you know it, it is over with and that’s not a bad thing. It means that it kept my attention and was good.
Just suspend belief and enjoy it.
OTHER THOUGHTS
- Gonna need Jared Staub to not bleach his hair anymore cause it looks better in black
- Also gonna need more verticals with Staub
- Nick’s brother being a ghost was sad
- Nicks stakes look like a chair leg
- CandyJar makes such good verticals
