You want to talk complicated relationships – sibling relationships in verticals are some of the most complicated things ever. They always have one different parent and one of their parents has lost their mind and punishes the other one. Sometimes people have to get married due to wills – which in all honesty is gross – in order to gain a part of their inheritance.
But what we’re dealing with here is three fold half brothers fighting for control, a crazy Mom, and a will that says you have to be married to get control of the company. But if you think that is the end of it – you would be mistaken. There is forced proximity, people pretending to be who they aren’t, and more.
I would like to tell you that this show is good, but what Falling For The Wrong Bride is mediocre at best. It’s not captivating, you aren’t invested in the characters (at least we weren’t) and you’re wondering at the end – how are they together?
Because it doesn’t make sense.

What you’re going to get from Falling For The Wrong Bride is a fake wedding, forced proximity, and a really messy love triangle. Well sometimes that triangle is a square, but that’s not the whole way through.
Sky is in a bad situation. Her Mom is sick and she needs money to pay for the treatment she needs. Enter Camilla, who offers her money to marry her son. You see, her son Grayson’s original bride had run away from the wedding, leaving him without the bride that he needs for his inheritance.
Grayson hates the idea and doesn’t like Sky. Grayson is in love with the woman who left him at the altar. In other words, he’s dumb. She left you for a reason sir – move on. Watching the show, I believed that she left because Grayson is CRUEL. He’s so mean to Sky, that at a certain point I was like leave him.
CAMILLA BE CRAY CRAY
But Camilla has them locked up. Grayson’s half brother manages to get Sky out to see her Mom. Camilla finds herand we find out that Camilla once knew Sky’s mom. Her Mom is holding one of Camilla’s big secrets and it has the potential to ruin everything.
Sebastian – the half brother – is charming and knows how to play into insecurities. He knows how to get to his family, but he also knows how to get Sky to believe in him. It’s actually quite endearing. It made me feel stupid. I was so uninvested that I did not catch that he was not nice.
The mystery of Grayson being left at the altar, why Camilla is crazy, and why Sebastian has lost his mind. It unfolds in a way that at the end redeems the storyline at the end.
But, the ending wasn’t something that I necessarily believed in. Sky may have changed Grayson, but there was just something that I didn’t believe about how he changed. It didn’t seem to fit the character that we were presented with. There just seemed to be no moment in his growth that would present the change.
Falling For The Wrong Bride is an attempt to make a different type of vertical and we can respect that about it. The issue is that finding how the characters changed seemed forced, fake, and quite frankly – boring.
