If you thought the end of The Boys meant the end of the world of Vought, you’ve got another thing coming. The Prime Video show’s bloody finale was just released, and we’re already moving on. Literally. Vought Rising, the prequel starring Soldier Boy’s Jensen Ackles is coming, and honestly… it’s looking better than we thought. Turns out a murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 50s is indeed something we want!
As the trailer opens we see Ben (Jensen Ackles) saying, “I want to fight for the flag. I want to be… a hero.” Eeeeh, good luck with that dude. We don’t think it’s going to turn out the way you believe. But, good intentions an all!
Menawhile, the voiceover is saying things as “God blessed us with these extraordinary heroes,” as we get a look at a bunch of new faces and the typical canon level of violence for this universe. We end on a meeting of Ben and Clara Vought (Aya Cash), yes, the one you knew as Stormfront, telling Soldier Boy, “There is a bright future. All we need to do is take it.”
Fun times! Not!
