We’re returning to the live-action adaptation of the award-winning and beloved Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender! In Season 2, after a bittersweet victory saving the Northern Water Tribe from the invading Fire Nation, Aang, Katara, and Sokka regroup to set off on their next mission: to convince the elusive king of the Earth Kingdom to aid them in their battle against Lord Ozai.
For fans of the original animated series, the newly released trailer for Season 2 is an absolute treasure trove of Easter eggs that we recognize. For one, the powerhouse that is Toph Beifong has entered the picture. She’s being played by Chinese and Japanese actress Miyako. Other Easter Eggs include the Painted Lady, the Blue Spirit, and Joo Dee affirming that, “There is no war in Ba Sing Se.” Also, Zuko’s tea shop hair phase is here. Basically, fans are going to get fed!
Netflix also made available new images for Season 2 that include the Gaang, Zuko and Azula, Aang, Toph, and Lord Ozai. See them all below:
