Apple TV’s horror-comedy gem Widow’s Bay is coming back for Season 2!
The season renewal announcement was made ahead of the Season 1 finale. And it sets the stage for even more horror, laughs, and Tom dealing with the townspeople while trying to make the island Martha’s Vineyard. Oh and the supernatural shenanigans. We can’t forget about that big ol’ curse.
What made the announcement of a season renewal even sweeter is what this means for series creator Katie Dippold. Even though we don’t know the details, apparently she’s signed a new multi-year overall deal with Apple TV. And Deadline teased that they heard the deal “encompasses series as well as first-look on features.” Considering how well Widow’s Bay is doing, this is well deserved for Dippold.

“From the moment audiences arrived in Widow’s Bay, they’ve been hooked on every eerie mystery, unexpected laughs, and cursed secret that Katie, Hiro [Murai], Matthew, and the entire team have created,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming, Apple TV. “It’s become one of those shows everyone’s talking about, and we’re thrilled to see audiences continue to embrace it. We can’t wait to return for another season.”
As for what’s coming for Season 2, Dippold teased, “Season two is about how everything is great on the island and there’s nothing to worry about.” Considering how the curtain has been drawn back when it comes to Widow’s Bay and the horrors it holds, we know that the mystery is just going to deepen and more supernatural things are coming out way. We can’t wait!
