Prime Video Renews Every Year After For A Second Season

We’re all heading back to Barry’s Bay!

After the cliffhanger that Every Year After left us with, we’ve been on the edge of our seats waiting for more information about a season two renewal. Well, there is also the discourse that arose from the changes to the book. There was a lot of back-and-forth, and we wondered what answers we would get and when.

Thankfully, Obsessed Fest is happening in Los Angeles, California, and we have an answer. The season two renewal was announced during the spill the tea panel at Obsessed Fest.

THE RENEWAL

We’re excited to return to Barry’s Bay and bring audiences another deeply emotional and unforgettable chapter.”

If you’re looking for the book to read, you won’t find one that is entitled Every Year After. The show is an adaptation of Carley Fortune’s book, Every Summer After. The premise of the adaptation is the same, but there are changes in the story.

The official logline of the show, “Told over the course of six years and one week in Barry’s Bay—the quintessential lake town—Every Year After is a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever.”

SEASON 2

The source material for the second season is said to be Fortune’s One Golden Summer, which focuses on Charlie Florek’s (Michael Bradway) love story.

Every Year After stars Sadie Soverall as Percy Fraser, Matt Cornett as Sam Florek, Michael Bradway as Charlie Florek, Abigail Cowen as Delilah Mason, Aurora Perrineau as Chantal, and Joseph Chiu as Jordie.

Amy B. Harris will continue to serve as showrunner. She executive produces alongside Fortune, Lindsey Liberatore, Amy Rardin, John Stephens, and Grace Gilroy.
