A Knight to Remember Brings a Knight Back to Life
The first movie to take our screen is A Knight to Remember, which premieres Saturday, October 3 on Hallmark Channel. And if you’re wondering what it’s all about, we’ve got your back!
According to the synopsis, “when practical museum conservator Emily Porter (Julie Gonzalo) restores a centuries-old statue of legendary knight Sir Griffin de Beauford (James Trevena), one unexpected kiss brings him magically back to life and turns her carefully ordered world upside down.
As Emily helps the chivalrous time-traveler navigate modern Chicago, pumpkin spice lattes, a Halloween Medieval Fayre, and an FBI investigation led by her ex-husband, she begins to rediscover the wonder and romance she thought she had left behind. But with a rare celestial conjunction approaching and Griffin’s fate hanging in the balance, Emily must decide whether the safest heart is one kept guarded or one brave enough to believe in a love written in the stars.”
Julie Gonzalo will play Emily Porter, our practical museum conservator. And James Trevena plays Sir Griffin de Beauford, the legendary knight at the center of the story. Also, this movie has one more surprise in store for us, because if you love When Calls the Heart as much as we do, you’ll enjoy seeing Chris McNally in it.

The Spirit of Halloween Gives a Classic Story a Spooky Twist
A week later, on Saturday, October 10, Hallmark will premiere The Spirit of Halloween. This time, we’re getting a modern take on A Christmas Carol, only with Halloween taking the place of Christmas.
According yo the synopsis, in The Spirit of Halloween, the “brilliant bridal designer Everly Stone (Meghan Ory) has no patience for Halloween, especially the beloved fire-station bash that once left her heartbroken in front of everyone she knew. But when her late mentor appears with a glamorous warning, Everly
Stone is swept through one unforgettable night by three mischievous spirits who reveal the joy she lost, the people she’s pushing away, and the future she might miss if she keeps hiding behind work and fear. With a loyal assistant ready for more, a town waiting to welcome her back, and longtime friend Beau Madison still carrying a spark from their past, Everly Stone must decide whether Halloween is the night that broke her heart or the one that can finally help it heal.”
The interesting part here is that Everly isn’t simply being shown what she has done wrong. The spirits are also forcing her to look at everything she could still have if she stops hiding behind her work and her fear.
And then there’s Beau.
The two have a history, and there’s clearly still a spark between them, which means this Halloween journey could end up being about much more than Everly learning to enjoy the holiday again. Sometimes you need a little supernatural intervention to realize what has been sitting right in front of you all along.
The movie features Meghan Ory as Everly Stone and also brings together a couple of familiar Hallmark faces, with Kevin McGarry—known for When Calls the Heart—as her longtime friend Beau Madison and Lachlan Quarmby—coming from Hope Valley: 1874–asthe Ghost of Halloween Future.
After these movies, Hallmark will move straight into its Countdown to Christmas programming on October 17. So yes, Halloween gets a pretty short window before Christmas takes over. But we’re getting a magical knight, three mischievous spirits, second chances, romance, and plenty of Halloween atmosphere along the way.
