Chicago Fire is getting a new face!
Matthew Daddario, best known for playing Alec Lightwood on Shadowhunters, is joining the NBC series for Season 15. And the revelation came after Da’Vinchi, who is joining as a series regular for Season 15 as Marcus Burke, posted a photo on Instagram.
In the social media post, Da’Vinchi can be seen sitting on the Truck 81 front bumper. Next to him is Daddario, wearing the same blue pants and grey T-shirt with “candidate” on the front. And on the other of Daddario is series regular Brandon Larracuente, who plays Sal Vasquez.
As for who Daddario is set to play, there’s no information besides of course being a new probie. And we don’t know if he’s going to be a series regular or recurring cast. For all we know he might just be around for an episode. But he’ll be there anyway.

Last we left in Chicago Fire Season 14, the fates of Kelly Severide, Mouch McHolland, Joe Cruz, Tony Ferraris, and Harold Capp were up in the air. As for Truck 81, they’re not safe either. Stella, Hermann, Sal, and Ballard made it down the truck ladder before they were engulfed in fire.
Combine that with the news that Dermot Mulroney’s Dom Pascal and Joe Cruz’ Joe Miñoso are leaving and the new candidates, and Chicago Fire seems to be going for a soft reboot of everything we know.
Chicago Fire Season 15 premieres Wednesday, October 7th at 9/8c on NBC.
