This third and final season—yes, we’re crying too—is based on the last book in Mona Kasten’s trilogy, Save Us, and basically, the book is about Ruby & James—and their friends—against the world. And this teaser perfectly reflects that feeling. It’s all about them, about the love that started it all.
A love so unexpected, so intense that it changed everything. Ruby and James are no longer the same as before they were together…and they can’t be the same afterward. They have that kind of love that changes your life and that you don’t even know how it happened, only that there was a before and an after.
Mortimer went too far to punish James. He not only stole his mother’s inheritance—and with it, his freedom—but he also stole Ruby’s dream to teach him a lesson, to try to take away the only thing truly good, pure, and sincere in his life.
