Ransom Canyon wasn’t perfect, but it was a show that made us feel. There were characters that we loved and characters we didn’t. The show brought a lot out of us and we didn’t mind that.
We welcomed it.
And now, we’re saying goodbye, as Netflix has cancelled the show after two seasons.
As much as we’d like to say we’re surprised, we’re not. The second season was strong, but it wasn’t the best. The show went from something that was all about family, community, and growth to a soap opera. Now, we love a good soap opera, so we’re not complaining about that.
Reasonably though, not everyone does.
We knew that the show had to perform – as the season two order was decreaded from 10 episodes to 8 episodes. That alone is a sign that a show is not going to last.
Star Minka Kelly posted about the shows cancellation saying, “Appreciating this little trip down memory lane as we say farewell. All good things must come to an end. And so it is.”
She continued, “Thank you all for giving us two beautiful seasons! I love you forever my Ransom Canyon family!! 🤠♥️”
We’ll miss Ransom Canyon. What do you think? Did Ransom Canyon deserve the cancellation? Should it have been renewed?
Tell us all the things.
