Law & Order Season 26 Episode 3 “Bad News” is almost here, and we have an exclusive first look at the episode. This season has seen at least one major shakeup—Detective Riley’s death in Episode 2. So…now what? How will the rest of the season go? We might not know everything, but we can at least give you a little bit of information about this upcoming hour.
In the next episode, we know at least one thing’s for sure: Finding people who are willing to testify in a murder trial, even on behalf of the prosecution, remains tricky. That’s especially true when you’re dealing with politicians during campaign season, at a time when the news is sometimes more about creating drama than keeping people informed. After all, as Baxter (Tony Goldwyn) points out, “somehow, [unsubstantiated rumors] qualify as news now.” Which means that anything, even helping convict a murderer, can be twisted against you. In spite of all that, Baxter’s determined to get justice. So, in order to make his case, the DA has a plan to compel the witness into cooperating.
