As DC’s Legends of Tomorrow winds down its freshman season, we’re already getting teases about what to expect in season two.
According to TVLine, Legends is currently casting for two series regular roles for next season that appear to be joining our team on the Waverider.
For the first role, the show is looking for a male in his late-20s to mid-30s that is described as someone “who grew up in the shadow of his World War II hero grandfather and has used a Han Solo-like facade to conceal his insecurity — until, that is, the development of super powers enables him to love up to his family legacy.”
The second role is looking for a woman who will play a “member of an elite paramilitary team living in the 1940s. An African-American, she is scrutinized in her time for both her gender and race and thus has worked twice as hard to be a perfect soldier. That said, she blames herself for — and aims to avenge — the death of a team member for whom she had repressed feelings.”
Showrunner Phil Klemmer recently stated that season two will look much different from this first season, including a new threat and new faces. Now we know a little about what to expect from these new faces.
He also described the finale as “not just hitting the reset button, it really is modifying their mission.”
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW.
