Get ready to see a lot more of Vixen in live-action.
The character of Vixen, who got her start on her animated series Vixen, will be joining DC’s Legends of Tomorrow when the show returns for season 2, according to TV Insider.
Vixen will be a series regular on the show, which will fill one of those spots vacated by other characters at the end of season 1.
But there’s a twist.
Vixen is going to be look different than she did when she appeared on Arrow last season. Given the actress Megalyn E.K.’s availability — or lack thereof — she won’t be able to reprise the role. Instead of recasting Vixen, Legends of Tomorrow will introduce a different version of her.
With the time travel of it all, we’re going to meet an earlier version of Vixen, who “may or may not share some sort of historical tie to Miss McCabe.” Casting is currently underway for the new-old Vixen.
But the good news is Megalyn E.K. will continue to voice Mari McCabe on the animated Vixen, which returns for its second season this summer on CW Seed.
