It’s been a devastating last 24 hours for us clockblockers. But we’re still here. We’re still standing. We love this show, and we’re ready to fight for it.
So what happens now? What do you do? How do you fight?
Well, first, you take a break. Grieve. You love this show and you have every right to feel sad about it being canceled. Remember to sleep, and to eat, and to take care of you. This is a marathon, not a sprint, and your health is the most important thing. If you need a hug, we got you.
Then, when you’re ready …we get to work.
What are our options right now? It seems like one is a TV movie to wrap up the plot. Now, that’s not ideal, but from what everyone’s saying, that’s the most likely scenario, so even if it’s not what we truly want, we gotta fight for it. Rufus needs to be saved.
So you tweet about it. You tag NBC and Sony. You curb your desire to tell NBC to go to hell – because they can still give us something, and as mad as you are at NBC, you love this show more. You love this cast more. They deserve it, and we deserve it.
Of course, that doesn’t mean we’re giving up on the possibility of Season 3. We will never give up on Timeless and what it means to us. So we’re still trying to get it a new season, without taking our eyes of the immediate prize – the movie.
We can multitask, can’t we clockblockers?
Here’s the time information for that:
Since we’ve gone through the slogans already, we’re doing quotable Timeless. Share your favorite quotes!
What else can you do? Well, here’s where you can contact:
Netflix
Amazon
Hulu
YouTube TV
And two petitions you can sign here and here. Send these to everyone. We want huge numbers.
These are the most important links. They’re replying. They’re paying attention. Let’s try to focus on this and not split numbers by sending emails to too many different addresses.
Fancy sending some paperclips? Here’s the information for that campaign:
Historical postcards? Great idea, right? Here’s the info for that!
What about physical letters? Well, there’s a time crunch, but one place that you should try is:
A&E Networks
235E 45th St
New York, NY 10017
Abbe Raven and/or Rob Sharenow
History Channel sounds like a good fit, doesn’t it? Make sure to mention why and how much you love Timeless, and why it would fit there. Make it personal. Get a funny card, or make one yourself, if you’re so inclined.
Is that it? What else can you do? First – rate the show everywhere you can, and if it’s possible for you, buy Seasons 1 and 2. A large spike in that sends a message. If you buy it from Amazon, for example, make sure you tweet at them/send them a message saying that you’re doing it because you love the show and you’d like to see more. Don’t stop tweeting, and try to stay positive. I know, that’s hard. You’re mad, I’m mad, and we’re all incredibly frustrated. So, let’s play a game. While we’re tweeting about the possible movie – let’s tweet ideas for what we want for the movie. And if you see someone who wants something very different from what you want …walk away. This is not the time for ship wars.
Let’s do the same while we’re tweeting for Season 3. Ideas for what we want. Don’t get into ship fights, or any kind of fights, especially with the networks tagged. We can stay positive. That’s our best shot.
And if you’re tired (I’m tired too), take a break. Go watch something that makes you happy (I recommend One Day At A Time) or come talk to me. I’ve got you. We got each other.
Let’s get some more Timeless!
