One Day at a Time season 3 finally has a premiere date. The Alvarez family will be back February 8th, 2019 on Netflix. The news was announced on the One Day at a Time Twitter in the form of a video made up of tweets from viewers who love the show.
This news comes just as ODAAT was nominated for a Critics Choice Award, Justina Machado was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy, and Rita Moreno was nominated for Best Supporting. They are deserved nominations that we hope and pray turn into actual wins. Why? Because after all the hard work that this show has done, and how many times it sat on the edge of cancellation, this show survived, thrived, and has turned into one of the best shows on Netflix.
With this date announcement also comes a first look at the Alvarez family and the changes coming their way. See What’s Next posted a photo of the Alvarez family inside their home. Elena is sitting on one side of the table, a book open in front of her, and the rest of the family looking on at her. Also standing by is a group of singers dressed to the nines and looking like they’re about to break out in song.
We’re kind of hoping that this means One Day at a Time will have a music episode but if there’s one thing we know about this show, it’s to expect the unexpected. So bring it on Netflix! We’re ready for more One Day at a Time!
