Daisy Jones & The Six, based on the book by Taylor Jenkins Reid, will be coming to Amazon and we can’t wait. The book, which was a Reese Witherspoon book club pick, has been picked up for series, with Riley Keough to star as Daisy Jones.
But as we all know with casting, there is more than one person set to star.
Camila Morrone (Mickey and the Bear) is set as a lead in the adaptation opposite of Riley. Who is she playing? Well, that would be Camila, girlfriend of lead singer Billy Dunne and the band’s center of gravity.
She’s following her man around in the pursuit of his dreams and somewhere along the way finds her own.
If you aren’t familiar with Daisy Jones & The Six, it tells the story of Daisy Jones. She’s rich, parents ignore her, and she finds herself rising to rock stardom in the 70’s. The book is a page turner, one that you won’t regret investing your time into.
The series is set against the backdrop of the 1970s L.A. music scene.
Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter will executive produce for Hello Sunshine, Brad Mendelsohn for Circle of Confusion, Niki Caro, who also directs, and the showrunner is Will Graham.
No premiere or production date for Daisy Jones & The Six, as of yet.
