Per usual, Supernatural manages to balance humor with drama in an episode that gave us man bun Sam Winchester in the same episode as Jack getting back his soul. And even though we’re worried about the end of this show and how it’s all going to turn out, we’re glad to be getting quality TV like “Destiny’s Child.”
1. When we met AU Sam and Dean Winchester.
It’s really nice to know that no matter what world they come from, the Winchesters are genuinely good men. Sure, the man bun might be a little awkward to look upon and they were a little stuck up, but they’re still good men who helped their counterparts when needed. Now, I can’t help wondering if we’re going to meet any other AU versions of Sam and Dean. Here’s hoping!
2. When our nougat son ate it.
Leave it to Jack to see a problem and think of alternate solutions. He ate it and he was right. That was the way and he did it in his signature Jack way full of innocence and “What? It was the most logical decision?” that he kind of gets from his dad Castiel. Because of this he ended up saving the day and making the change needed to help defeat God!
3. When AU Dean and Sam drove Baby.
AU Dean knew there was something about Baby that was special as soon as he laid eyes upon her. No wonder he HAD TO drive her. You don’t see an opportunity like that and ignore it. Plus the look on AU Dean and Sam’s faces, pure “I know what I did and I’d do it again.” And even though Dean was mad it’s nice to know all versions of these two love her.
4. When Jack broke our hearts.
I MIGHT BE CRYING A LITTLE BECAUSE I JUST SAW JACK’S FACE AGAIN IN THIS GIF AND I WAS REMINDED OF SOPHIE’S WORDS FROM HOWL’S MOVING CASTLE: A HEART’S A HEAVY BURDEN. JACK HAS HIS SOUL BACK AND THE ONE THING HE WANTS IS FORGIVENESS FOR WHAT HE DID. I’M NOT OKAY!
5. When this Destiel moment happened.
Ship it or not, there is a connection between these two that goes beyond friendship. And seeing Cas in that chair, unconscious nonetheless, pulled at my heart strings and left me wondering once more what kind of fanfiction is born out of scenes like this. It must be glorious.
Supernatural airs Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.
