Grace and Judd are probably my favorite new couple from this past television season. I loved them from the very beginning of 9-1-1: Lone Star. It was always obvious that they were special, and both Grace and Judd are very much in love and dedicated to their marriage.
Below I discuss my top 5 favorite Grace and Judd moments from this season and why I love this couple so much.
Judd Makes Dinner
In “Studs” Grace pours her heart out to Judd about how she feels like he doesn’t notice her anymore. She understands all that he’s going through, but she has needs, too. I love that Judd listened to what she said. He cooked a very nice, romantic dinner for her and apologized. He made sure that she knew she’s the most important part of his life. I just loved this moment. A husband actually listening to how his wife feels. Can we get more of this?

Grace Confides in Judd
In the season finale, Grace has a heartbreaking call at work that ends with an astronaut dying in space. She tells Judd all about it, and he listens to her while they look at the stars. This moment was short but powerful. Both Grace and Judd have stressful, and sometimes heartbreaking, jobs and it’s nice that they have each other to lean on with life gets tough.
The First Episode
In the very first episode, Judd struggles with losing his fellow firefighters who were also his friends. He’s upset that Owen doesn’t think he’s ready to return to work, and he confides in Grace. Grace reminds him of how he got her dad to give permission for them to get married: he had to ask her dad day after day after day until he finally agreed. Judd has never taken no for an answer. Later, Grace goes to Owen and asks him to save her husband. This episode shows the viewers that these two share everything with each other, and Grace is always willing to support and fight for her husband.
Grace Tells Judd She’s Proud
In the second episode, Grace accompanies Judd to therapy. Judd struggles throughout the episode until he finally lets himself remember every moment of that horrible night where he lost his fellow firemen. Grace’s right by his side, of course, and she tells him how proud she is of him. I think she was proud of him for finally being vulnerable enough to remember all of it. This was when I knew Judd was finally starting to heal. And, in this moment, I knew that Grace and Judd were going to be something special.
Grace Shows Up to the Hospital
After TK’s shot, the entire 126 waits at the hospital for news. Grace comes by and sits next to Judd. This was a nice little moment. Grace knew how upset Judd was and wanted to comfort him and offer him support. She didn’t even have to say anything. Just being there was enough.
I can’t wait for season two of 9-1-1: Lone Star to see what happens for Grace and Judd. I think we’re going to love them even more.
