I know, I know. You read the title and you’re like who the fuck are Andie and Ben. Well, if you don’t know who they are or the movie that they are from, I challenge you to rethink the quality cinema that you are missing out on.
Because How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days is a rom-com masterpiece. Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson star in the film, where I first learned what a player was.
Kate was asked in a recent interview with Elle where she thought that Andie and Ben would be today. Personally, I think that they would be married and fighting like crazy, with one snobby daughter who drives them both crazy but they want to protect.
But I am way off from what Kate thinks.
“I’ve always thought about what Matthew [McConaughey] and I’s characters would be now, if we were still together,” she told Elle. “It’s actually probably a good amount of time [that has passed] to make a movie about it. We probably would have gotten married with kids. We’re probably miserable right now!”
I would love to see a sequel to the film. It would be so fun to see where Andie and Ben truly are.
