Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina is just a few days away! We cannot believe it but it’s so close … many things await you and we cannot wait for you to enjoy them all but first, do you want to know more? Here’s our advanced (and spoiler free) review of the final season.

THE TERRORS
It’s no secret that we didn’t like season 3. We think it lost focus on character building, character development, the logic of the story and even the way it was told.
This season 4 returns to find the essence of the first two seasons and we once again have a decisive plot in each episode, with a story that covers the entire season and that becomes frantic at the end, with the right development of characters.
In fact, there are only a couple of things that are left hanging from the previous season that they don’t give an answer or further development to. We imagine that they wanted to draw a thick veil and turn the page, so we’re here for this.
What we like the most is seeing our favorite aunts AKA Zelda and Hilda happier than we’ve ever seen them, although their plots may surprise us and their path will not be all rosy.
We also like the two worlds that Sabrina oscillates between more than ever, creating surprising alliances that make them one. Mortals don’t hesitate to join the coven for a common purpose and vice versa.
We have seen them work together before, but this season goes a step further and not only do they coexist in parallel but they intertwine in unexpected ways and that shows us very good moments. By the way, Nick and Harvey make a good team and maybe, only maybe, they reluctantly appreciate and respect each other.
Ambrose is still as wonderful as ever, seriously, we don’t know what Sabrina and the coven would do without him, in fact, we don’t know what we would do without him and… have we ever told you how much we love Nick and Ambrose together? Well, we love them!
Faustus will be, as always, a great source of trouble for our Sabrina. He doesn’t forget what happened and is determined to end her and Greendale in any way. So horrors are his new friends and with a surprising ally, our favorite teacher … until now: Ms. Wardwell.
This is something in which Agatha will be key but to help him or to defeat him? The only thing we can say is that her brotherhood with Prudence continues to move us like the first day … and maybe she will surprise you.
As for Sabrina’s friends, they have their own solo development and problems are not lacking, both in love and in friendship. Roz, Harvey and Theo must learn that they must be there for their friends, no matter what, and they will also learn what it means to truly love.
Salem is the star!
With everything coming upon them, trust us, the people of Greendale, mortals and warlocks alike, must unite and fight … and they will.
#NABRINA, #CALBRINA OR #HABRINA?
We know that everyone wonders about this. Will we have an endgame? Who will it be? And yes, we will have an endgame. As the producers commented, we will know exactly who Sabrina loves. We will know who is her endgame. There will be no more games. It will be clear from the start.
This means that, with three love interests at stake, inevitably two fan bases are going to be disappointed because Sabrina Spellman can only choose one. Producers know it.
That’s why we value so much that they have made an effort so that each couple has their special moments that make their fans sigh, make them smile when they remember the show and even that they can re-watch certain episodes (and discard others) once they see everything.
It was not easy to do this because Calbrina was not an official couple on the show, Nabrina broke up in a horrible way in season 3 and regarding Habrina, their season was the first and then in season 2 they flirted again with the couple. After that, they resumed the relationship a bit in season 3, without much explanation or connection with what we had seen before.
So they had a difficult outlook to give each couple these moments, that made sense, fixing at the same time everything that they did wrong in season 3, but they have succeeded. Of course, wait for drama and tears because what would Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina be without that?
In addition to all this, some relationships may be forced to collide with each other and this causes several interesting confrontations … and the reunion of old enemies.
Because there is no more game and no more doubts, a couple will have more development than the other two, it is inevitable. However, in those moments that each couple has, they manage to develop them and also make the characters grow.
We see different phases in relationships taking into account what we had seen before, that is, an evolution and the characters themselves have grown and there are even some calls to previous seasons, to iconic scenes, especially with Habrina.
But I think you will be happy with what you will see, you will enjoy it, you will laugh, you will smile … although you will also suffer. We are not going to deceive you. But we think you will like it because even in the most painful moments, the ones that will make you suffer … after a while, you will be able to remember the good times and your ship with a smile.
But remember: there can only be one endgame.
THE HELL
Hell may seem like a party … but it isn’t. The infernal family AKA Sabrina, Lucifer, Lilith and Caliban is a dysfunctional family – and that’s the understatement of the century. Especially Sabrina and Lilith have never gotten along because Lilith always wanted to be queen of hell and that … is Sabrina’s role right now. Both have reached a kind of peace, but Lilith still wants the throne.
She feels it so close but so far at the same time … because the throne doesn’t only mean power but also freedom. She’s sick of being Lucifer’s servant. Always attentive to his orders, having to be willing to obey him. Always being the second in command of all, never the first.
So she wants the throne of hell, freedom … and to kill Lucifer with her bare hands, as revenge for everything he has done to her. And the worst thing is that she can’t count on anyone, not really. She’s alone.
So Lilith is willing to do anything – anything. And we have some problems with it – to get that power, revenge and that freedom that she feels she always deserved. To do this, she will have to do things that even she did not think she could do but, as they say, to desperate situations … desperate measures.
Also, the correct path to a place is not always in a straight line. And Lilith will have to forge unexpected alliances to get what she wants. But the question is, will she end up getting it?
As for others, Lucifer always creates problems and, although he will seem calmer at first because he has his daughter by his side, he will not stop making problems and trying to collect old debts.
Caliban and Sabrina live in a constant tug of war. She always blindly trusts everyone and sees the best in people. In hell, it will be no different. Even though she may feels lonely at times … and have to remember that she isn’t.
It seems that Caliban is really sorry for what she did to Sabrina but is it true? It seems so … although sometimes things are not as they seem.
However, in defense of Caliban, in what he can or cannot do, we will say that under the circumstances, we can come to understand him, even if we want to kill him in the process. The biggest problem that we have is rather with his intentions, because we’re not sure that they are completely justified and clear.
THE END
What happens with this show is that they didn’t plan for this to be the last season and it shows. In many respects, the last episode doesn’t feel like an ending, given that there are threads that could be pulled for a hypothetical season 5 – including plots that they did not cover this season, waiting for the next to pick them up. So it shows that they were hoping to be renewed, at least, for a new season that, trust us, would have been explosive.
However, with that said, we are grateful because we believe that some things were added later, once they knew that Season 4 would be their last. Thus, they thought of the fans, wanting to leave us a feeling of closure that would satisfy us and that we could remember with a smile.
You can tell that it was not their choice but, even so, they thought of us and gave us the best they could give us. Not all shows do something like this (see: Arrow. They could choose the ending and chose one that made no sense) But the producers and writers of Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina thought of the fans and, being able to leave us with a disastrous ending and a bad taste in our mouths, they left us with the best possible taste in our mouths.
You know I saw the end before I even started watching the season and my first reaction was bittersweet. A mixture of happiness, sadness and anger. But after I calmed down, I discussed this ending with Lizzie, since she did the same thing as me and watched it first, and she made me see that they didn’t choose this.
When they were shooting this part, they thought they would get a renewal and they didn’t know this season would be the last. Then I appreciated what they did for us. That closure. That giving us what we want.
We imagine your reaction will be similar but keep this in mind: they didn’t choose this ending. It is a gift to us. For the fandom. Especially for one part. There is no other way to see it than that. A gift so that, after a while, we can review the show and know that it ends as well as possible, putting a smile on our face.
So yes, I think that after the shock, there’s that something that will leave you with a smile and a good taste in your mouth. Especially a part of the fandom. We can summarize it in that it will be everything you had dreamed of … but not in the way you had dreamed it.
