Grown’ish fans! Show of hands, who thought this show would not be coming back due to COVID-19? We certainly thought we would not be watching any new episodes for a while. So we were pleasantly surprised to see it back on our TV screens again.
When we last left Zoey, she was contemplating dropping out of school and just doing fashion. None of her friends agreed, especially Aaron, and with good reason. Homegirl have you seen the economy? What the hell is your daddy, Dre, gonna say? We are speechless. There was a lot to dissect in this episode of Grown-ish “Public Service Announcement” so lets gets to it, shall we.
Damn Aaron, For Real?

We could dedicate this entire post to this fiasco right here. Better known as “bad romance.” Zoey was/is(?) still in love with Aaron after that kiss on the finale. We will always root for them, they are like Whitley and Dwyane Wyane. However, we cannot condone Aaron just dropping Zoey as quickly as he did and moving on with another girl. Huh? Dude, Zoey wasn’t gone for a year, she was gone for the summer. That’s like three months – four tops! WTF?! We can’t with him, #cruelsummer.
We are proud of Zoey for doing her thing with fashion and making money and providing for herself, but do we think she should have dropped out of college? Hell no! We know what you are thinking, college is not for everyone. And that is true, however, Zoey needs a degree guys! That’s all we will say about that.
Zoey also needs a distraction right now and clearly Aaron isn’t it. This dude literally tells her he can’t wait to “hook up” when she returns. But he meant hook up to talk about his new girlfriend and how happy he is now that he’s moved on from Zoey.
Our mouth dropped to the ground and we walked out of the room. We really need a good TV romance right now. We do. We need it badly. COVID-19 sucks! Please Grown-ish writers, lend us your ear and get these two lost souls back together, ASAP!
Jazz, Meet Lola, Lola Meet Jazz

Speaking of break ups.. Jazz and Doug have called it quits as well. Jazz wants to train for the 2021 Olympic Trials and she does not have time for that, school or a boyfriend. Doug understands, but is heartbroken. Also, Jazz expects him to wait for her, which is kinda not fair. Jazz even goes so far as to tell him not to fall in love with anyone else while they are apart. Hmmm, let us know how that works out for you guys Jazz.
When Doug hangs out with a new girl named Lola, Jazz quickly starts stalking Doug and shit gets real. Listen, Jazz is pretty cut throat on a good day. Doug is real brave for showboating Lola around campus where he knows Jazz will run into them. We don’t think he is intentionally trying to hurt Jazz, he’s just being really really dumb.
Poor Lola, gets called Bugs Bunny’s sidekick by Jazz and we spit our wine out. Oh Jazz! You always have a good comeback. We will always be down to ride with you as a friend. Plus you scare us, so there’s that.
In tonight’s, b-storyline, Luca asks Jillian to move in with him and gives her a key. She declines and says she is not ready. Great, we thought. Truth be told, we are about to learn a lot more about Jillian’s back story. We suspect there was a bad romance in her past as well, but honestly, Luca is a hot mess and they are perfect for one another.
So, what did you all think about the episode? Were you sad about Zoey and Aaron or did you see it coming? Will Jazz and Doug break up to make up? Let us know your thoughts down below.
