It’s been a hot minute, but FBI is BACK. After a break over the holidays, FBI returned with episode 3×04 “Crazy Love.” We had a very tension filled episode and we have many thoughts and feelings. Especially regarding Maggie, OA and Nestor.
THE CASE RUNDOWN

This week’s case centers around a quinceañera where two people were murdered. The team doesn’t believe that the victims were the targets, just unfortunate bystanders. The father of one of the victims believes it may be racially motivated. A worker at the restaurant is believed to be the intended target from a drug boss, because he is seeing said drug boss’s girlfriend.
This is where things get a little complicated. Maggies annoying ass boyfriend, Nestor, injects himself into said case after Maggie and OA ask his informant to go undercover. Nestor doesn’t like that and refuses because he is trying to make a Rico case and is concerned for his CI.
Ultimately, Nestor asks them to delay on arresting the drug boss. This goes on for five days and OA reaches his limit. Let’s just say that he doesn’t approve of how Nestor handles the case. He tells Maggie that her judgement is impairing her decisions regarding the case – you can imagine how well that goes down. Maggie defends Nestor and says he is trying to do the right thing. OA goes over Maggies head and straight to Isobel. Ultimately, Maggie had OA’s back and did it first.
Side note: Why is every security camera that would clearly show the crime only for “show”? It irks us. If you are going to have one, make it real.
OUR TAKE

This episode should be retitled from “Crazy Love” to “We All Crazy.” We are split right down the middle of this heated debate. Yes, we do believe that Maggie is a little blinded by her relationship with Nestor regarding the case. However, that is to be expected in all relationships and how you handle things. It shapes her decisions and choices.
Are they all going to be right or wrong? No. But it is unfair of OA to be so harsh on Maggie because he doesn’t like Nestor. If he has a problem with Nestor being on the case, he should take it up with Nestor or with Jubal. Also, while giving Maggie a heads up about it. I doubt she will like it, but well, tough shit.
Onto the OA side. We absolutely hate Nestor so we agree with him on that. Also, these cheap shots and snide remarks he makes to OA…oh, we could bitch slap him. What Maggie has to understand is that others cases, opinions and decisions outside of the team shouldn’t factor into how the case is handled.
Nestor shouldn’t get to ask them to hold on so he can solve another case or use theirs as leverage. That is unfair. It’s unfair to the victims. It’s unfair to the families who want justice. It’s unfair to the team, who work countless hours on the case to get it solved.
If Nestor wants to work his angle, fine. But don’t let him do it at the expense of justice. He can use whatever he needs after the killer is brought to justice.
What did you think of “Crazy Love”? What are you feelings on this heated debate/tension? Is Nestor in the right or the wrong? Share with us in the comments!
