As we learn more and more news about the upcoming Marvel shows on Disney+, Fangirlish wants to make it easier for fans of the franchise to get up to date on all the things they need to know. This biweekly round-up includes some of the biggest and most fun news from the last two weeks about all of our upcoming favorite Marvel shows, like WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Solider and Loki.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier
The Falcon and The Winter Solider premieres in a little over a month now, which means we better buckle up for a whole lot of news! To start with the biggest news, we got a new trailer and poster for the series. There’s plenty of things to love about the new footage, including couple’s therapy and Sharon Carter. Oh, the shield gets thrown around quite a lot, too. Deadline reported that the trailer drew a combined, record-breaking number of 125 million views between the TV spot during the Super Bowl and the trailer online. All of those views happened within 24 hours of its release! It’s a safe bet to assume people are ready to see the rest of Sam, Bucky, and Sharon’s journey.

Furthermore, Entertainment Weekly joined in on TFATWS fun with an exclusive feature for their March 2021 issue. EW caught up with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan to discuss their upcoming Disney+ series. Head writer Malcolm Spellman talks about Sam and Bucky’s “fire-and-ice dynamic” and more. It includes an amazing illustration by Joshua Swaby that you should check out.
We’re warning you that you may want to keep this next bit of news a surprise. Scroll down to WandaVision if you don’t want anything spoiled about TFATWS.
Don Cheadle discussed his future in the MCU in a new interview with BroBible for their Post-Credit Podcast. Of course he talked about his upcoming Disney+ series Armor Wars. He also revealed that Rhodey will pop up on TFATWS as well. We know how interconnected the Marvel Cinematic Universe is and how likely cameos are so this news isn’t entirely shocking. That doesn’t mean it’s any less exciting! Don’t mind us, we’ll be thinking up all the ways Rhodey could fit into TFATWS until March 19th.

WandaVision
Similar to TFATWS, Marvel Studios debuted a new, mid-season trailer and poster for WandaVision recently. New posters for Darcy, Jimmy, and Agnes were shared on the show’s official socials too. As for merchandise, there are new Marvel Must Haves for episodes four and five are available now. Plus, you can listen to the original soundtracks for the first three episodes on music streaming platforms now. Rachel Paige at Marvel broke down the creative theme songs with the songwriting duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. On another musical note, Paige also scored the translation of the Sokovian lullaby Wanda sang to the twins on WandaVision season 1 episode 3, “Now in Color.”
Additionally, Elizabeth Olsen spoke on Vanity Fair’s Still Watching podcast about everything from avoiding the tired hysterical woman stereotypes to the “very needed” relationship between Agnes and Wanda. Arguably, Olsen’s most popular interview comes from TV Line where she teased that someone on the level of Luke Skywalker’s cameo on The Mandalorian is coming to WandaVision. This came days before Evan Peters’ Peter/Pietro (We don’t really know which or both yet) showed up on Wanda and Vision’s doorstep. There hasn’t been any confirmations about whether this massive cameo is Peters. If the Internet has any say, there is someone even bigger on the horizon than the potential introduction of the X-Men via the multiverse. If you’re looking for more details about Peters’ cameo, head writer Jac Schaeffer caught up with Paige at Marvel about it.
Hawkeye
The cast and crew are hard at work on Hawkeye still. A lot of the closer looks we get of Hawkeye are from Jeremy Renner’s social media. He’s keeping all the Clint Barton fans updated! There are plenty of posts to include here, but one that’s gotten the Internet’s attention is a photo of a very used quiver with a S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on it. Renner’s posts from set are joined by a behind-the-scenes picture from Fra Fee. Fee is set to play Kazi. Most recently, Hailee Steinfeld shared a photo that gives off so many Kate Bishop vibes. We can’t wait until we get even more news about this show!
Miscellaneous
It should be noted that this news is only labeled as miscellaneous because we don’t have a title for this series yet. It’s easily the biggest Marvel on Disney+ development from the last two weeks. Marvel announced that Ryan Coogler’s Proximity Media set an exclusive television deal with The Walt Disney Company. The announcement revealed that Coolger will develop new television series for the company, including one based in the Kingdom of Wakanda for Disney+. This is huge as there are so many possible stories to be told about Wakanda. For example, how epic would it be to watch an entire show dedicated to the Dora Milaje?
