I don’t know about you, but I have missed Mila Kunis. Sure, she’s been in a Cheetos commercial, but that’s not her in a movie.
But she’s booked a new role in an adaptation of a book I love. The actress will star in The Luckiest Girl Alive, based on Jessica Knoll‘s novel of the same name.
If you aren’t familiar with the story, here’s the jist of it, “The plot centers on Ani FaNelli, a sharp-tongued New Yorker who appears to have it all: a sought-after position at a glossy magazine, a killer wardrobe, and a dream Nantucket wedding on the horizon. But when the director of a crime documentary invites her to tell her side of the shocking incident that took place when she was a teenager at the prestigious Bradley School, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to unravel her meticulously crafted life.”
Mila will also be producing the movie for Orchard Farm Productions along with Bruna Papandrea and Jeanne Snow for Made Up Stories and Erik Feig and Lucy Kitada for Picturestart.
The books author, Jessica Knoll, will be penning the screenplay. Handmaids Tale director, Mike Barker, will be directing the movie.
We can’t wait to see it come alive. Are you excited? Have you read the book?
