Cameron Diaz has been in some of the most iconic movies of our time, but the actress hasn’t been seen in a movie for a long time. Her last movie was 2014’s Annie, and though that movie was good, it was kind of forgettable. Some classics shouldn’t be messed with.
Since leaving acting, she’s gotten married and has had a baby girl. She’s also started an organic wine brand, Avaline. But the big question is – will she return to acting?
Diaz was on SiriusXM’s Quarantined with Bruce show, and answered that question.
“I’m never going to say never about anything in life. I’m just not that person, So will I ever make a movie again? I’m not looking to, but will I? I don’t know. I have no idea. Maybe, never say never,” Cameron said on the show.
She continued, “But I couldn’t imagine like being a mom now where I’m at as a mother with my child at her first year to have to be on a movie set that takes 14 hours, 16 hours of my day away from my child. I just couldn’t. I personally feel like that wasn’t the mom that, I wouldn’t have been the mom that I am now had I chosen to do that at any other time in my life.”
She is really grateful that she has the choice and expressed sympathy for those that do not have the ability to stay home with their kids.
“I feel for so many mothers who can’t, that have to go to work, you know, whatever they’re doing, I feel so much for them and for their children and for all of that, but it does really take a village,” she said. “And that’s the thing that, you know, there’s so many, I mean, let’s, if we break it open to where we’re at currently, all that, I just feel so blessed that I get to be here now with my child and, you know, get to be the mother that I get to be. It’s such a blessing it’s completely privileged and, I’m just really, really grateful.”
