Here’s the thing – regardless of what is going on between the brothers, I would hope that they would still be able to put shit aside and be there to commemorate their mother this summer. I don’t think that either one of them would want to disrespect her in any way.
Three years ago, William and Harry commissioned a statue of their mother for the gardens at Kensington Palace. The statue is set to be unveiled on July 1st at Kensington Gardens. The Princess Diana memorial will “recognize her positive impact in the UK and around the world.”
Sure, the two are giving each other “space” right now, but when it comes to their mother, I feel like they have been on the same page and honoring her is important.
Royal expert, Russell Myers, revealed on British talk show Lorraine that the ceremony was moving forward and both The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be in attendance.
“I can exclusively reveal that William is still committed, as is Harry, to get together on July 1 for the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue at Kensington Gardens,” Russell said . “This could be a monumental period for the brothers.”
July 1st would have been Diana’s 60th birthday.
Look, I don’t know who this Russell dude is or how he “exclusively” knows, but like I feel like this is common sense. But okay Russell, thank you for reiterating what we all know about the brothers – their love for their Mama will always come first.
