Hello, Nancy Drew fans! This week in Horseshoe Bay Nancy and her team investigate a possessed wedding gown, that contains the lust of like 100 women. Well, hilarity ensues, sorta because Nancy is horny and that would be okay if she didn’t want to sleep with every guy… see if anyone had watched Buffy, they would know how a love spell works. It never ends well, ask spike, better yet, ask Buffy! No one asked me, or I would have told them.
Odette is still getting on my nerves, I do not understand the point of her character? Odette is not needed, she does not push the plot forward. Damn it writers, is the goal to exorcise her from George’s body and Frankenstein her into a new body? Is she going to be a recurring character next season too? Why is she still on this earth? Gah! So many annoyances in this episode and not enough time. Nancy Drew‘s, “The Spell of the Burning Bride” still had a lot of pleasurable moments. So let’s dive in, shall we?
Lustful Thoughts

Nancy wasn’t the only one who was daydreaming about having sex with someone in this episode. Odette was swooning over Bess and I’m pretty sure Bess felt “something” towards Odette as well. It was kinda weird but kinda hot at the same time. LOL! Odette is tired of being stuck in limbo and she basically thinks George has a pretty boring life, in that she works at the Claw and then goes home to take care of her siblings.
George is not amused by Odette’s take on her life but agrees to let her take over her body for a while if she will shut up and if Ace chaperone’s her. I don’t think it’s a good idea, but hey whatever, what’s the worst that could happen? Ummm, a lot! Odette gets both George and Bess drunk and goes ice skating. In what world is being drunk and ice skating a good idea? Ace is the most horrible chaperone ever, but I can’t blame him because he’s dealing with a lot of family issues right now, mainly his long-lost brother reaching out to him. But still Ace, FOCUS!
Nancy is also having a hard time focusing because she destroyed the haunted wedding dress in like the first 10 minutes of the episode and I was all like what the wha? That was too easy! That dress dissolved into smoke that Nancy inhaled once she burned it. Dude, it was as if Nancy, smoked a bong full of lust. Haha! Nancy was trying to have sex with every guy she knew, including Ace, and Nick. Okay, those two were awkward, but Detective Tamura and Gil were HOT.
Gil especially, I like his vibe and the detective is way too old for Nancy. It’s not a good look writers. Bess and Ace have to rush to find an antidote for Nancy’s affliction before she starts dry humping the couch. Yikes! It was funny yet also made me a tad uncomfortable, I’m not sure I would have liked it if Nancy had given in and slept with the detective. Nancy finally comes to her senses after she drinks the antidote and decides with CONSENT to sleep to Gil, who is fine. Ya’ll, I’d sleep with him too.
Don’t Trust the Journalist in Apartment B

Ryan Hudson is trying to redeem himself and win Nancy over. He’s also trying to gain favor with his mother and bring down his father’s empire. I keep thinking Ryan is going to die or come close to dying and Nancy will have to donate her kidney to him or something. I like Ryan, he’s kind of grown on me this past season andI knew the reporter his mom hired to rebrand his image was not to be trusted. She had been having all of these secret phone calls about him and last night this bitch stole Nancy’s straw and had a DNA test ran on her. Yep! She found out Nancy was Ryan’s daughter and met with his mama and told her what she knew.
Ryan’s mother has been paying this journalist to dig deep into Ryan’s life, but how she knew or even wondered if Nancy was Ryan’s daughter we have yet to find out. I really think Ryan’s mom suspected last season, though I’m not sure how/why yet. I will have to ponder on that one, for a while. Ryan’s mom has not been a huge focus on the show, it’s always been about Ryan’s devious daddy, but now his mama too! Damn Ryan, can no one be trusted?
What really blows is Nancy respects the journalist and asks her for advice on getting into Columbia in the fall. Her advice, keep your social media clean and stay chaste, or at least let them believe you are chaste. Nancy looks flustered by these comments and it speaks a lot about how girls/women are judged by society and it really, really sucks. You can get into Columbia Nancy! Fuck that bitch who just stole your DNA!
