I am thankful to Taylor Swift for a lot of things. Her music, the way the she gives back, the way that she says the things that I can never find the words to say. I am also thankful for her introducing Joe Alwyn to me.
I mean not personally, but like I didn’t know who he was until he started dating Taylor. And I hate that I was sleeping on such a great actor, because he is such a great actor. And now the actor has another movie coming.
Joe Alwyn and Dean-Charles Chapman have joined the cast of Catherine Called Birdy, which is a movie written and directed by Lena Dunham.
The movie is based on a novel by Karen Cushman. It follows, “the adventures of a teenage girl, Birdy, in medieval England as she navigates through life and tries to avoid the arranged marriages. that her father has unfortunately gotten her into. Yes, I know it was a different time and I am being a little judgy, but you know… whatever.”
Dean-Charles Chapman will play Birdy’s older brother and Alwyn will play her uncle.
I am kinda loving that Alwyn won’t be a “love interest”. Sure, I will still be drooling over him though.
