I didn’t watch Once Upon A Time, but from everything I have ever read on it, Epic sounds a lot like the show. I could be wrong, it definitely has happened in my life. But who knows.
I have always loved fairytales though.
Epic is described as a romantic show, “that reinvents fairy tales for a new audience.”
Sarah Hyland was previously announced as Rose, the Princess who is set to marry her Prince Charming, but you know there could be some cold feet going on there because, Rose’s “fairy tale gets upended when he has second thoughts.”
But who is her Prince Charming? Well that would be a Game of Thrones star (look, I don’t care how big or small anyones role on that show was, if you were on the show you are a star) Toby Sebastian. He has joined the pilot as Rose’s husband-to-be, Philippe.
Who is Philippe? He’s described as the, “quintessential storybook prince, Philippe is following what he believes is his destined path to True Love when he finds himself at a surprising crossroads, leading him to question everything he held dear.”
In addition to Hyland and Sebastian, Brittany O’Grady (Little Voice) has been cast as cynical princess Luna and Eleanor Fanyinka (Holby City) has been cast as The Seer.
If the show is picked up, it will be a midseason show for ABC.
