Personally, I love Kate Beckinsale. I had one interaction with her in life that changed my opinion of celebrities as a whole. I remembered they are just people and not all of them are assholes.
At the final Twilight premiere, I was sitting in front of her and her daughter Lily. I heard Lily say that she couldn’t see, so I crouched down and sat with my ass off the chair, because I wanted Lily to see the screen. After all, I was just a fan of the movies, but for her, it was watching her Dad.
After the movie, Kate stopped me, hugged me, and thanked me for what I had done. It shocked me, but I was always thankful for that interaction. It stuck with me.
And since then, I read Kate’s interviews and watch Kate’s movies, because it takes nothing and I know she’s a good person.
I actually felt bad for what I read the other day. Due to the pandemic, it has been years since has seen her daughter. Over two years.
“I haven’t seen my daughter for two years because of everything. Also, I went to Canada working and she couldn’t come see me,” she shared on Live! with Kelly and Ryan on Friday (July 23), “Two years of not seeing your child is the most preposterous thought.”
Technology is great and helps people stay in touch, but it is definitely not the same as seeing someone in person.
Kate and her daughter, Lily Sheen, have definitely changed in the past two years and she continued,“She’s like, ‘I’m just worried that you’ll think I’ll look old.’ I’m like, ‘I’m gonna look old.’”
We all age, but it doesn’t matter. All that matters is that these two were able to able to reconnect after that and were just spotted at JFK yesterday.
