CSI franchises seem like forever ago. It isn’t that the franchise was ever bad, but it’s been awhile and we’ve definitely moved on to other franchises. But, just when you think that you are out of something, you get pulled back in.
CBS decided to bring back CSI: Vegas and we have to admit that we were shocked over the entire thing. The series will bring back original stars William Petersen, Jorja Fox, and Wallace Langham, and newly added series regulars Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez, and Mandeep Dhillon.
The show is set to premiere on October 6th and to celebrate its return CBS debuted the trailer for the series.
“Twenty-one years ago, we launched CSI and watched in awe as this new cinematic series launched an entire genre and became a groundbreaking juggernaut that still has global resonance today,” Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment had said when the return of the series was announced. “We are thrilled to welcome the next generation of forensic criminalists to the CSI brand and unite them with the legendary characters from the past who we still love, including the extraordinary Billy Petersen and Jorja Fox. Crimefighting technology has advanced dramatically over the last several years and combined with classic CSI storytelling, we can’t wait to watch this new CSI team do what they do best: follow the evidence.”
The newly rebooted series looks like the lab is threatened and it’s up to the team to save it.
Are we in? Not sure. But we’ll probably try watching it. Will you?
