It’s Leverage: Redemption week at Fangirlish! As we told you in our advanced review, we’re going to celebrate the season 1B premiere with a week full of news and cool stuff. On this second day we have our exclusive interview with Aleyse Shannon and Gina Bellman ready, they tells us some of the things that we will see in these episodes. In addition, they have a very special message for the fandom. Ready?
Here we go!
As you can see, we wanted Aleyse Shannon and Gina Bellman to tell us what we can expect from Breanna and Sophie in Leverage: Redemption season 1B. And everything they said is so cool, we can’t wait to see it! Also, they wanted to say a few words to UK fans because they’re really happy and excited that the show is going to premiere there soon with the full sixteen episodes. Aleyse and Gina wanted to thank you, the fans, for how amazing you are. And we love them for it.
Also, we asked them if they prefer part A or B of season 1 and we agree with them! Given the choice, part B is the conclusion of the emotional journeys of all the characters and that makes it more emotional, although we also agree with Aleyse Shannon and Gina Bellman that, really, it’s all part of the same journey and is quite unfair to break it into parts when part B is the continuation of the journey that started in part A.
On a more personal level, we wanted to know if Aleyse Shannon was already a fan of the original show and what her personal experience on the show was like, her audition, the moment she found out she got the role, her first day on set … and she only has beautiful and good words for all her partners. You can tell that they’re a family and it’s something beautiful to see.
When it came to Gina, we were curious to know how she prepared to play Sophie as she grieves the loss of Nate. And I could only gawk at her response as I nodded.
Aleyse Shannon and Gina Bellman are the sweetest, I swear! They’re funny, they have an infectious smile and you really can tell how involved they are with this adventure called Leverage: Redemption and the way they have come to admire and love their characters. The way Breanna and Sophie are part of them and have a piece of their hearts.
Chatting with them is really a pleasure because it feels like a little conversation in front of a coffee and I love that, I love when the interview feels natural and you can’t help but smile all the time because they speak to you from the heart and are open and sincere. Aleyse and Gina are lovely and I can’t wait to chat with them again!
Here ends our exclusive interview with Aleyse Shannon and Gina Bellman. We will be back tomorrow with our interview with Leverage: Redemption executive producers Dean Devlin and Kate Rorick and spoiler alert: it’s amazing! Stay tuned!
