9-1-1: Lone Star is finally back! It seems like forever since we’ve seen our favorite characters. And while we’re happy to see them, some things are not how we left them back in the spring. Let’s review.
Heartbreak
First, let’s talk about the biggest event in 9-1-1: Lone Star 3×01 “The Big Chill”: TK and Carlos broke up! What? We were completely surprised by this and deeply disappointed. They seemed so solid and happy when we left them. We need to know what happened! Both Carlos and TK seem so sad. Why did the writers do this? And we need this fixed, ASAP. Like Nancy said, we like them together. And good for Nancy for not taking sides. She likes both of them. So she shouldn’t have to choose who to be friends with.

Closing the 126
Okay, moving on to other things in 9-1-1: Lone Star 3×01 “The Big Chill”. The 126 is still closed and everyone is still on their temporary assignments. Tommy, Nancy, and TK are working at a private company, Paragon, and the boss isn’t too happy with Tommy. She was ordered to give their patients medicine even if they don’t ask for it, or necessarily need it. This sounds like a fun place to work. But, as TK points out, at least they are together.
Marjan takes the closing of 126 especially hard. On the day the 126 is supposed to be demolished, she chains herself to the building, and asks her online following for support. Carlos even comes to arrest her. We admire her determination. We also understand her frustration with Owen not wanting to sign the apology letter toward Billy. And Judd agrees with Owen! Men!

Ice Storm
The other big story in 9-1-1: Lone Star 3×01 “The Big Chill” is the obvious: the winter storm. The snow and ice cause massive damage to the city, and Judd comments that he’s never seen anything like this in Texas. The firefighters put their lives on the line to find Lindsay, who is trapped the collapsed building. We were terrified as the debris came crashing down around Paul. Luckily, it looks like he’ll be okay.
However, we’re more concerned with Marjan! The episode ended on a huge cliffhanger with her crashing her car because she couldn’t see. She’ll be okay, right? Her friends will find her and make sure of that. We hope. Because we can’t lose her.

Other Thoughts:
- We absolutely cannot wait for Judd and Grace’s baby. How adorable was Judd worrying about the baby’s room and wondering why Grace was drinking chamomile tea? We found it really cute that he mentioned Frozen, too. We are so excited to watch him be the best dad to that little girl.
- We’re a little worried about Owen. While everyone else is at least together in their new assignments, he’s kind of walled himself off. He seems defeated. We’re hoping that his friends and family can pull him out of this funk. We’re also curious about this new character, Sadie.
- The victim from the skiing accident was intense. We’re proud of Tommy, TK, and Nancy for saving his life. We’re really enjoying Nancy having a bigger role in the show.
