We love Romantic comedies. They tend to be an overlooked genre that gets a bad rap from time to time. I think that may because some folks think they come off really cheesy. Some can but others hit the mark and Passionflix’s latest film Tangled has hit the mark. Based on the book of the same name, Tangled is a Rom-Com about Drew a successful young NYC investment banker who falls for Katherine Brooks the new associate his father has hired. Katherine Hughes stars as Katherine (Kate) Brooks, and Josh Plasse plays Drew.
We got the opportunity to have an exclusive interview with these two to chat about the film. We talked about those infamous office fights, and we got a little insight as to why they think the “enemies to lovers’ trope is so intriguing.
Check it out below.
Katherine and Josh were both so much fun to talk to. It’s obvious that they enjoyed their time playing Kate and Drew. What Kate said about the chemistry she and Drew had onscreen coming from trusting your co-star is so true. We could not agree more. If you don’t have a good trusting relationship with your co-star especially while working on a film that has such intimate scenes, it just wouldn’t work. And as far as Josh Plasse having imposter syndrome over playing Drew, we think he was absolutely perfect. He nailed every part of Drews character. It’s not easy to play a character like Drew who is so cocky, but he made him lovable. We also have to thank Katherine and Josh for giving us a new word; “fassy” (fun + sassy).
