Dolly Parton is a national treasure. This is a hill that we will die on. She’s too good for all of us.
You rarely see people who just genuinely want to change the world and make it a better place. But when it comes to Dolly she’s cemented her legacy not only being her music, but also the way she wants to change the world and leave it better than she found it.
Her Imagination Library has donated millions upon millions of books. She donated money in the fight for Covid to find a vaccine. And now – Dollywood has announced that if their employees want to continue their education, they will pay for it.
ALL OF IT.
They will start covering 100% of tuition, fees, and books for any of their employees who are pursuing a higher education.
“One of The Dollywood Foundation’s key tenets is to ‘learn more.’ This program is created with that very tenet in mind. We want our hosts to develop themselves through advanced learning to fulfill the foundation’s other tenets: care more, dream more, and be more. When our hosts strive to grow themselves, it makes our business and our community a truly better place.” said Eugene Naughton, president of The Dollywood Company.
“We care about our hosts’ development and we want their future to grow because of love—not loans.” he added.
The GROW U program starts February 24 for all seasonal, part-time and full-time employees.
This is absolutely life changing for people. It will mean the world to so many.
Yes, Dolly Parton is definitely a national treasure.
