The Hunger Games is one of the first fandoms that we fell hard for. The stories, the characters, the actors – it was just something special. It still is.
While we admit that we haven’t been one to sit down and read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, it is because the original books and the fandom were such a special time. But knowing that the movie is coming and knowing that we will not miss the chance to see it, means that we will be reading soon.
While a cast has not been announced, Lionsgate has announced the release date for the movie adaptation of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, November 17, 2023.
The story takes place, “years before he would become the tyrannical President of Panem, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow sees a chance for a change in fortunes when he is chosen to be a mentor to Lucy Gray Baird, the girl tribute from impoverished District 12.”
Are you excited for The Hunger Games prequel? If you could see a prequel of any franchise what would it be?
