Trash television is a pleasure. Who doesn’t like to sit down and watch some reality dating show and think, well, at least my love life ain’t like that? We mean, this is until you realize that you have no love life and no prospects and that is why your love life is no where near what you are seeing on television.
The trailer for Love Island USA came out and well, it’s a shit show of epic proportions, and that’s why we’re excited for it. Well, we’re only excited if it’s dramatic.
No one watches a reality show for wholesomeness and if you say you do – you’re a liar and have never watched one. This particular reality crime against relationships will be airing on Peacock and you can see their attempt at a funny trailer below.
Also announced as part of the show, is that Sarah Hyland will be hosting.
“Love Island is such an iconic show and I love the dating reality space. I’m just so thrilled and honored to be a part of this…They always have the hottest people on their show,” Sarah Hyland said in a statement to E! News.
We have to interrupt before we carry on with the rest of her statement… doesn’t everyone say their show is iconic? Not everyone can be the Real Housewives franchise (minus the OC – cause that shit is not iconic, it’s a BORE).
Sarah continued, “I really love that the girls, for the most part, stick together and really bond and stand up for one another. As a woman, I love it when I get to see that on television. But I definitely know that we’re going to have a lot of unexpected surprises and unpredictable twists that we’ve never seen. We’re pushing the boundaries this time around.”
Sarah does have a great partner in Wells Adams though, who pours the drinks and bad advice on Bachelor in Paradise. He offered some advice, but mostly was just so supportive of the love of his life, that we can’t help but love him even more.
She said about him, “He always shares a lot with me during the process of BiP. It’s a lot of unpredictability, you just have to roll with the punches and just be patient and observant and have kindness for everyone. He’s so, so supportive of this whole new adventure that I’m about to embark upon, and he’s really been just an amazing human being.”
We have to admit that we may watch for the Sarah Hyland factor. Then again, that may require massive amounts of alcohol and we’re trying to remain sober. So who knows.
Time and alcohol will tell what we do.
