Now, we don’t ever want to hate on Regé-Jean Page, cause like LOVE HIM, but at the same point, we’d really love it if he’d stop crushing our returning to Bridgerton for a hot second dreams. Yes, this article is written out of bitterness and too much free alcohol at the airport.
Anyhow…
We know, we know, he’s moved on. But like if we’re being honest, the way he’s acting like it’s whatever about his Bridgerton role is kinda a turn off. It’s like he is annoyed by the people who want him to return to the role – even if it’s just for a hot second.
But whatever.
At the premiere of The Gray Man, when asked about the role, he made it clear he has no interest in returning, but he’s okay if they recast it.
“They’re free to do as they like,” he said in an interview with Variety, “Shonda and I had a wonderful conversation at the end of Season 1. We were quite happy with how we stuck the landing on that one.”
It’s not that they didn’t stick the landing. We’ll agree that they did. But like appreciate the love that people are trying to show you and their passion for the role. It just feels now a days that there are so many actors that are like whatever to the roles that made the world take notice.
We love Regé-Jean Page and we’ll support him with whatever he does. And we know that we’re bitter about the not wanting to be on Bridgerton at all. We’ll move past it, eventually.
But a recast isn’t something we want. Stepping down from the soap box now and accepting that we’re bitter and all is really not so serious and we need to respect decisions.
